LSU football wide receiver Jackson Harris had good news Tuesday. After leaving the Mississippi State game with an ankle injury, Harris said he’s ready to go for LSU’s contest at Auburn this weekend. Harris spoke to the media after practice Tuesday and said he might have returned to the game if the Mississippi State game had been closer.
“I feel like if the game had gone differently, I could have gone back out there and played, so we’ll all be good this week,” Harris said.

That’s good news for the LSU offense, which can’t afford to lose another pass catcher to injury. Star LSU tight end Trey’Dez Green was sidelined in LSU’s Week 3 loss to Ole Miss. Green is not expected back until November.
Harris stepped up in Green’s absence, along with slot wideout Winston Watkins as a target for Sam Leavitt. Harris had a career day against Mississippi State and scored three touchdowns.
With 456 yards, Harris ranks 8th among SEC wideouts. He is just ahead of Watkins, who is ninth with 447 yards.
