The Golden State Valkyries host the Atlanta Dream in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals at the Chase Center. (Billy Cadden)
The Golden State Valkyries have only been in the WNBA for two seasons and are already four wins away from a championship. After defeating the defending champion Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals, the Valkyries return to the Chase Center on Saturday for Game 1 of the WNBA Finals against the Atlanta Dream. It’s a remarkable run for a franchise that didn’t even exist on the court two years ago, and the Bay Area is now watching its newest basketball team battle for a championship with home court advantage.

The dream will not be an easy final hurdle either. Atlanta swept the New York Liberty in the semifinals and enters the Finals undefeated in the postseason, led by Defensive Player of the Year Angel Reese. But Golden State has won all three regular-season meetings with Atlanta, and Gabby Williams is playing her best basketball when it matters most. No franchise has ever won a WNBA championship, so history will be made regardless of the outcome. Valkyries fans hope this incredible run ends with the trophy coming home to San Francisco.
The WNBA Finals begin Saturday at 12:30 p.m. PDT at the Chase Center, and basketball fans across the country can tune in on Sling TV and Peacock.

Peacock is another great option, especially if you plan to watch all of the Finals. Peacock streams every game in seven best-of series, with Premium starting at $12.99 per month and Premium Plus starting at $19.99 per month. Both plans include live sports, but Premium Plus offers fewer ads on most other content and extra features.
If you want more live TV after the finals, Sling is still a great option. While Games 1 and 4 will be on NBC, up to five other games will be broadcast on USA Network, which includes Sling Blue and Orange & Blue. This means fans with both packages can watch the entire series on Sling as long as the local NBC station is available.
Here are the Sling packages that carry NBC, so you can tune in:
Sling Select (starting at $19.99/month)
Sling Essentials & Select (Starting at $34.99 per month)
Sling TV Blue (starting at $45.99/month)
Sling TV Orange & Blue (starting at $60.99 per month)
While Sling and Peacock are the easiest ways to watch Saturday’s game, any of these other top streaming platforms will also be streaming the WNBA Finals:
