Monza striker Gustavo Varela has earned his first Portugal call-up for November’s Nations League matches, along with Roma teenager Rodrigo Mora, AC Milan forward Goncalo Ramos and Lazio defender Nuno Tavares.
Portugal will travel to Denmark on Saturday, November 14 and Wales on Tuesday, November 17 in the Nations League and will call upon four Serie A stars.

The 21-year-old Monza striker, who topped Serie A’s scoring charts with nine goals from the first nine league games of the 2026-27 season, was a first call-up for Varela. With the addition of the cup games, he is now up to 11 goals from his first 10 competitive Monza games.
Rodrigo Mora, 19, has also enjoyed a fine spell in Italy, scoring three goals in his first eight Serie A appearances since joining from Porto in the summer transfer window. He could earn his first caps for his country this break, although it won’t be his first international call-up.

Goncalo Ramos became Milan’s most expensive signing of all time when he joined from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and has retained his place in the Portugal international’s squad for November. He scored 3 goals and made one assist in the first 13 games with the “Rossoneri”.
There is also room for Nuno Tavares, who has appeared in the last nine Serie A matches in a row. His Lazio side are top of the Serie A table with 28 points out of a possible 30 after the first 10 league matches of the season.
