‘First Class’ ‘5 Star Service With These Crosses’ Fans React After Watching Man City Ace’s First Champions League Start

Manchester City winger Allan played the full 90 minutes against AEK Athens on Tuesday evening.

It was only the second summer signing by manager Enzo Maresca this season after he made the eleven for last month’s Carabao Cup third-round tie with Norwich City.

Although Allan didn’t score or assist as he did against the Canaries, his supporters at the X were still impressed by his first appearance for the club in the Champions League:

Allan admitted that adjusting to England was difficult

Speaking to Brazilian television after the 5-1 win over AEK Athens, the 22-year-old said he did not anticipate how difficult it would be to move to another country:

“In Brazil, I always dreamed of being here and experiencing it. I didn’t know it would be so difficult to adapt; the language, the cold, everything. But we have to be strong and adapt as quickly as possible.”

Allan is fitting in quite well based on his first few appearances for City.

Semenyo’s injury may see him play more at Manchester City

There is Maresca confirmed Antoine Semenyo is out for up to two months due to a knee injury. The Ghanaian international ran out in last weekend’s 3-2 win over Ipswich Town.

He could miss 14 matches (including the AEK Athens match) and given the position he plays, Allan could be one of the main beneficiaries.

The forward still has a lot to prove in a City shirt, but based on his first couple of appearances for the club in the Carabao Cup and Champions League, Maresca should not hesitate to pick him in the Premier League in the coming days and weeks.
