Northamptonshire have signed goalkeeper Finlay Bean on a three-year contract with Yorkshire.
The 24-year-old scored 2,649 runs in 48 first-class matches for the White Rose as an academy player.
He also scored 517 runs for the county in 30 List A matches.
While Bean featured in the One Day Cup for Yorkshire in the latter stages of last season, he saw out a red-ball campaign in the second XI after his last appearance in the County Championship in May.
Northamptonshire boss Darren Lehmann said Beane was a player who had been “on the radar for some time” at the Second Division club.
“I am delighted to secure him a long-term contract and hope he will develop and become a brilliant asset to the team,” Lehmann told the club’s website., external
