The guard saw his playing time decrease as the season wore on and could be out for the next few weeks.
Chelsea defender Malo Gusto could consider his future at Stamford Bridge, with the player seeking reassurance over his role in the squad. The 23-year-old’s playing time has decreased in the last few matches.
The French player has appeared in three of Chelsea’s six Premier League games so far this season. He was a late substitute in Saturday’s 5-1 win over Bournemouth.
With midfielders Jordan Henderson, Moises Caicedo and right-backs Marco Palestra and Reece James returning from injury, he could see his sidelined. According to Sky Sports Switzerland, Gusto “would like more certainty” about his role in the team, but his priority is to continue his development.

It adds that he is happy at Chelsea but would consider a move if the opportunity to join a “great club” arose or if his role at Stamford Bridge changed.
Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs linked with interest, with the French giants said to be interested in his ability to play both at full-back and fill in at centre-back. Chelsea are reportedly demanding a fee of £75m again in the summer, with Bayern Munich, Juventus, Tottenham and PSG all said to have contacted the player’s agent.
It comes after reports that Brazilian striker Estevao is frustrated at the lack of playing time at Chelsea under Xabi Alonso. The 19-year-old has been limited to appearances as a late substitute in all Premier League shows this campaign.
Talking about the news that he is unhappy from Brazil, Alonso said: “No, Este is ready, he is training well.
“He had a really good impact the other day, he’s got a great chance. So he’s been fully involved every day and has a great attitude.”
Asked if he will have an important role to play this season, Alonso added: “Yes, with Este, 100% for his potential, because he is very young, but he is in this process to adapt and learn quickly. And the season will be long.
“You know, personal conversations should remain private. But the season will be long.
“And the players have a desire and a hunger to prove and show that they’re ready for the challenge every day, that’s what we want to create here in the building. Este is part of that. So he has a very good attitude, a very good mentality to prepare every game and be ready for the team.”
