The Premier League’s Match Center made a statement about Manchester United not seeing the goal scored against Chelsea. The Blues are looking to get back to winning ways against a struggling United side but looked set to fall short early on at Stamford Bridge.
Matheus Cunha put Michael Carrick’s side ahead after curling the ball over the line. However, the guests’ celebration was cut short as it turned out that the forward was offside.
The Premier League’s Match Center wrote on social media: “#CHEMUN – 34′ VAR RETURN. VAR reviewed the referee’s goal call and determined that Cunha was offside and recommended that the goal be disallowed.”
