Hello and welcome football.london For live coverage of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth this afternoon.
Stamford Bridge plays host as the Blues return to competition today after a three-week break. Just three weeks ago, Chelsea had a miserable evening at Brentford, losing 3-0 in the second half, and Xabi Alonso’s side will be determined to regain their form today.
For Alonso, he won’t mind going four league games without a win, making the Cherries’ trip this afternoon that little bit more important.
As for Bournemouth, Marco Rose, appointed as Andoni Iraola’s successor in the summer, has failed to win a league game since taking charge. Rose believes a win could be the catalyst to start his side’s season and they will be hoping to catch Chelsea this afternoon.
Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is 3pm (UK time). Bobby Vincent and Jake Stokes is live in west London throughout the day to bring you all the action and analysis.
