Manchester United may be struggling with their current form in the Premier League, but Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is not taking Michael Carrick’s side lightly.
The La Liga club will be looking for their first win since dropping the opening match of the competition to Liverpool last month as the two teams prepare to meet on Tuesday’s Champions League matchday 2.

The Red Devils were winless in their previous four domestic matches but scored full points in the 1st match against Sabah 4-0. Their current form is not something Simeone will have taken into account on Tuesday.
“We are facing an opponent who presses hard in your half, closes you down quickly and has fast players,” Simeone said on Monday. “Despite their recent results, including many draws, they are still as threatening as they were last year. They are a strong team.”

Raphinha scored two of his 14 goals in all competitions in Barcelona’s opening Champions League win over Feyenoord. The Brazilian has been hot this season, but he will miss Tuesday’s clash with Galatasaray in Istanbul due to an injury picked up on international duty.

The forward already missed Barcelona’s win over Getafe at the weekend, but is expected to return for next week’s big Champions League clash against defending champions PSG.
“It’s not a big injury, but we have to pay attention to it,” Barcelona manager Hansi Flick said last week. “Last season, I think [he had] there are three such injuries, so we are taking care.”
Elsewhere, last year’s runners-up and Premier League champions Arsenal host Lille at the Emirates Stadium; Inter Milan host Club Brugge at the San Siro; USMNT defender Sergiño Dest and PSV visit RB Leipzig as Ricardo Pepi is injured; “Bayern” will face the Vikings without No. 1 goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, with Jonas Urbig in goal; and Scott McTominay could be available a month after surgery to correct a benign heart arrhythmia as Napoli Villarreal and USMNT right-back Alex Freeman play.
