The clashing bosses came forward 9-3, Third-and-goal from the Los Angeles 2-yard line. Kansas City regained possession after a Justin Herbert interception and had a great opportunity to extend their lead.

After the performanceMahomes took charge. The fighter admitted that the game got complicated after he left the initial set-up and that his final decision was wrong.
“You can’t even throw the ball,” Mahomes said after the game.
The game was one of the few blemishes in a performance in which he completed 23 of 30 passes for 272 yards, though he managed no passing touchdowns.
Replays showed Kelce was wide open
Kelce had space near the sideline inside the end zone, but Mahomes didn’t see him and threw a pass to Armstrong.
The tight end was once again a key piece for Kansas City, finishing with five receptions for 53 yards.
However, Mahomes didn’t need a big touchdown for the Chiefs to dominate the game. The ground attack was once again led by Kenneth Walker III. Rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.
The error did not change the course of the game
Mahomes’ interception did not affect the scoreboard. The Chargers were unable to convert the puck into points and Kansas City remained in control until the end.
The Chiefs took a 19-3 lead into halftime and eventually won 22-6. The defense also rebounded: Los Angeles held 259 total yards and allowed just two field goals.
So Mahomes could have had a less than stellar night than usual. His only interception was a warning sign in a convincing win that secured Kansas City’s 5-0 unbeaten run.
The bottom line for the Warriors was simple: the result was a positive, but next time he’ll have to read a game better with Kelce as a more obvious alternative based on replays.
