Canada remained in 9th place in the women’s soccer world rankings released by FIFA on Tuesday.

Despite a 4-3 loss to Denmark in Toronto on October 12 and a 1-1 draw with the Danes in Montreal three days earlier, the Canadians maintained their position.

Since Casey Stoney took over as head coach in January 2025, Canada has yet to win against a top 15 opponent.

Denmark is back in the top 10 for the first time since August 2010, climbing 2 places to 10th.

Spain cemented their top spot with a win and a draw against second-placed USA, while Germany remained in third place. Canada returns to action on Nov. 28 against Panama in the CONCACAF W Championship, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup and 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
