The England international made 42 appearances for the club last season. He was a regular in the starting lineup and took full advantage of Bukayo Sakafitness issues.
However, he found himself largely out of favor early in the season and is yet to start a league game for the Gunners.
Maduk was an unused substitute in the recent 3-0 loss to Brighton and reports suggest he could leave in January.
Newcastle United are staunch admirers of the former Chelsea man, while several Premier League sides are keen to secure his services.
Marduk has also attracted interest from abroad via Juventus and Atletico Madrid, but Arsenal may be reluctant to sanction a winter exit.
The Premier League champions will not part ways with the winger until at least the summer unless a big transfer fee is paid.
