Arsenal are eyeing a move for Michael Olise as they tackle Bukayo Saka

Arsenal are closely monitoring Michael Olise’s situation at Bayern Munich as they await an announcement to sign the attacker.

The Gunners notably missed out on Vinicius Junior, Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez in the last summer transfer window, so it looks like they will continue to prioritize this position again for the foreseeable future.

Arsenal appear to be seriously considering Bayern and France winger Olisey, despite looking quite ambitious for one of the most in-form attacking players on the planet at the moment, according to Fichajes.

According to the report, the 24-year-old is also on the radar of other elite European sides such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, but it would be interesting to see Arsenal’s name come up as well.

Should Arsenal sign Michael Oliz to replace Bukayo Saka?

It almost seems taboo to mention this, but Bukayo Saka hasn’t been at his best for a while, so should Arsenal think the unthinkable and try to sign a replacement?

Mikel Arteta’s side have lacked an attacking spark for some time and while their left-back deficiencies have been addressed, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have been offloaded this summer and left-sided profiles have been targeted, with Saka also a clear problem on the right.

The England international is a world-class talent on his day, but Olise is currently outperforming him and seems a no-brainer to improve on.

Olise scored 22 goals in all competitions last season, compared to just 11 for Saka, and he scored eight goals in his first six games for Bayern this term, while Saka scored just three for Arsenal.

We’ve seen Oliseh, who has shone in the Premier League in the past, show great potential at Crystal Palace in his younger years, so adapting to English football will not be a problem for him, even if he comes from a relatively easier league.

This story will be interesting to watch, especially if Saka’s form doesn’t improve soon.
