Manchester City were reportedly found guilty of almost all of the 115 charges leveled against them, in what could end up being one of the biggest stories in Premier League history.
See below David Ornstein delivers an exclusive update at The Athletic that Manchester City appear to have been found guilty of breaching Premier League financial regulations, but the club plans to appeal.

It’s unclear what punishment City will receive, but after years of waiting for results, it appears we’re finally getting closer to understanding the severity of the situation.
What penalties could City face?
There have been discussions about serious points deductions before, with The Athletic pointing out that this could even lead to expulsion from the Premier League.
For now, however, it’s important to stress that City can appeal and delay things for a while, so it’s unclear when we’ll finally see any concrete action taken against the club.
City, meanwhile, continue to insist there was no wrongdoing.
“The Athletic” quoted a club spokesman as saying: “The Premier League process is still ongoing and there are important elements that need to be completed and are strictly confidential. Therefore, Manchester City Football Club’s position remains consistent with the club’s statement in February 2023.”
“For eight years the club has adhered to due process and the Premier League board and executives will act as independent, impartial and impartial regulators without partisan influence.”
City’s position in 2023 is that they are confident that all the rules are being followed correctly, and they appear to be firmly committed to that even when things seem to be going against them.
