Arsenal and Hull City will face nine players from the side who will miss the Premier League clash at the weekend.
Mikel Arteta didn’t rest as many starters as many expected when Arsenal side faced Slavia Prague on Wednesday. Declan Rice started the game in the Czech Republic despite saying he could sleep for a few days after the win at Anfield.
William Saliba returned to the Gunners squad and moved to the bench, now with only Bukayo Saka out of the squad due to injury. Arsenal face Hull City on Saturday with five fewer players due to injury than their opponents.
Barring some late changes, a total of seven players are not expected to be fit for the game. Arsenal, meanwhile, are only missing two, Saka still listed, and Max Dowman, who is serving the second of his three-match ban.

Dowman could feature for Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League match in midweek, with the suspension only affecting domestic games. A trip to Newcastle United after the international break will complete the ban.
Sergej Jakirovic could bring back summer signing Jack Butland from injury after missing the entire season through injury. Butland played the full ninety for the club’s under-21s in Monday night’s 1-0 win over Derby.
Konstantinos Tzolakis, 23, was number one and has impressed, so even if Butland returns, the Greek goalkeeper is unlikely to be moved for the clash at the Emirates.
Other long-term absences for the Tigers include Eliot Matazo and Matt Targett. Matt Crooks will receive a one-game ban for picking up five yellow cards in just six Premier League games.
Barring a brief but surprise recovery, those expected to miss the match include Charlie Hughes (groin), Darko Gyabi (groin), Ilyas Ansah (back) and Lucas Gourna-Douath (calf).
The two sides meet in North London on Saturday, with Mikel Arteta set to give the latest squad news at a press conference on Friday. Arsenal can maintain their lead in the Premier League with their 9th win in the first ten games.
