Jan Paul van Hecke insists there is “more to come from Tottenham” after their third Premier League win with a 2-0 win over 10-man Crystal Palace.
Although Spurs have struggled for consistency over the past few seasons, their latest win has seen them mount an impressive run to eighth in the top-flight.
They dominated most of the game after Jean-Philippe was sent off for elbowing Micky van de Ven in the back, only to be sent off in the 13th minute following a VAR review.
Archie Gray and Van Hecke then scored in either half to secure all three points for Spurs, who had a total of 34 shots in the match – their most in a Premier League game since February 2016 against Swansea City (34).
It is the first time since February 2025 that they have won three league games in a row and as many as they have in their previous 26 outings (D10 L13).
Van Hecke was full of praise for Roberto De Zerbi under his spell at Brighton and is confident Spurs will continue to improve.
“He is a top manager. I have a really good relationship with him,” he told Sky Sports.
“That’s a big reason why I come here because he gets the best out of me and I think there’s more to come from us.
“When you win games, you get confidence. When you keep a clean sheet, that helps.
“Now we have to stay calm and continue and we will win many games for sure.”

De Zerbi was impressed with the team’s overall performance, but he also singled out Sandro Tonali in the middle of the park.
He said at the press conference: “I am very satisfied with the performance, because we showed that we are a mature team with clear ideas and we didn’t miss a counterattack, maybe we just had one in the second half.”
“We created many, many chances. If we want to follow perfection, we have to be more dirty.
“[Sandro] Tonali was incredible, incredible. We played with two more players. It was a tonal double.”
As for Palas, they end the day sitting in the relegation zone. It is the first time since March 2023 that they have gone three consecutive league games without scoring.
The Eagles have conceded six goals this season in the Premier League, twice as many as any other team (Chelsea and Aston Villa both).
Of the ever-present sides, Palace have lost the most games (15) and conceded the most goals (52) of any Premier League side in 2026, with their recent victories putting more pressure on Pierre Sage.
Some of that was eased by the EFL Cup win over Fulham in midweek, but Sage isn’t letting it get to him as he vows to keep fighting.
“Yes, [relegation]It’s a disaster for every club in the Premier League and I have to talk about my club in particular,” he said.
“You know I’m not happy with the situation in the table, but it’s the result of our bad work on the field.
“The only way to change something is to go on the field. That’s why I talk to the players and I want to be the first on the field on Monday. They can trust me. I will never give up.
“I will train the best I can on Monday because now I am angry to train more because the game I saw did not match my belief.
“They [Palace fans] You can trust me because I will give my life. I am a person who never gives up.”
