Rangers and Celtic could be locked in a battle in the January transfer market after meeting on the pitch twice in the past fortnight.
Derek McInnes’ side have taken the lead on both occasions, most recently at Parkhead in the Scottish Premiership, winning 1-0 thanks to Ryan Nadry’s first-half goal, but the Hoops remain two points clear at the top of the table.
That said, the Gers have started to build some real momentum after a shaky start under McInnes, winning their last five league games and, based on the balance of the game, they fully deserved to win the recent Old Firm derby.

McGinnis He was pleased with the team’s performance after a slow start, saying: “We know it’s going to take a good performance, obviously in a different environment and without the supporters, but we have to get off to a good start.
“I didn’t think we performed very well in the first 10/15 minutes, but I thought once we managed to take control of the game we looked a real threat and we fully deserved the half-time lead.”
However, despite impressing from an attacking perspective last time out, the Gers are still keen to improve their attacking options during the January transfer window and have now entered the race to sign a Premier League striker.
Rangers and Celtic keen on signing Max Dowman
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal are now considering whether to let Max Dauman leave on loan during the winter window. The 16-year-old has only played 9 minutes in the Premier League so far this season.
There is widespread interest in the right-winger, with more than a dozen clubs already expressing an interest in signing him, with Rangers and Celtic also keen to bring the teenager north of the border.
Allie McCoist is believed to be a big fan of the youngster and has urged his former club to take action, saying: “Yes, I will take him, 100 per cent I will take him to Ibrox.
“I can [loan him out]. If Mikel Arteta thinks this is the best thing for his development, I wouldn’t have any problem. “
The rising starlet has already begun to make an impact at Arsenal, winning the Arsenal Goal of the Season award last season with his goal in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton.
Arteta is a big fan of Dauman also described him as “incredible”, but at this stage, a loan move could be the right move for all parties given the young Englishman will struggle to replace Bukayo Saka in Arsenal’s starting XI.
