After a tumultuous and disastrous period at Chelsea, one might have thought that Liam Rogniel was going to lay low.
But he was appointed to PSG in the summer and has returned to the headlines thanks to his strong start to life in Ligue 1.
Already top of the table, they face his old club Strasbourg this afternoon in what promises to be an explosive game. Paris had a two-goal lead and dominated the match with six shots on goal, one to Strasbourg’s.
Roniol takes revenge on fans after PSG win
You have a bit of sympathy for Ronnie Orr – he had a great time at Strasbourg but he couldn’t really resist a move to Chelsea when it came up, especially with a co-owner of the club.
But Strasbourg fans don’t think so. They felt betrayed and insulted their former coach throughout the game. When Paris won the game, it was Roniol’s turn to come back. He fired up the away fans and it started.

Remember, this is all taking place at Paris FC’s stadium. The return game in Strasbourg later this season will be one to watch. One wonders where both teams will be by then – with PSG now second in the table and riding high.
