The 35-year-old man was arrested Aug. 30 on suspicion of shoplifting at a Monticello store, where police said two packages of power tool batteries worth about $580 were stolen.

According to a criminal complaint, a store employee acknowledged that Quast had been involved in a theft at the same location two days earlier and contacted authorities. Quast Later admitted to taking the battery pack, the complaint states.
She was booked for aggravated larceny and released the next day. However, the legal charges were quickly overshadowed entirely by something else: her photos.

Booking photos released by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office quickly spread online, with users comparing Quast’s appearance to Jennifer Lopez.
“Dude, I seriously thought this photo was of Lopez,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “OMG. Get a DNA test. There’s no way this isn’t JLo.” The comparison quickly evolved into a joke, referring to Lopez’s 2002 hit “Jenny from the Block.”
“In prison, she’s called Jenny from D-Block!” one person joked. Another wrote: “She’s definitely still the Jenny from the block.”
The similarity became a major talking point surrounding the arrest, with users focusing on Quastfacial features and overall appearance, rather than the alleged shoplifting itself.
