Jan Oblak did not consider the half-time melee to be “serious” as he reveled in an “important victory” after Atletico Madrid beat 10-man Real Madrid 2-1.
The highlight of the La Liga game was a half-time confrontation between substitutes Antonio Rudiger and Morten Hulmand in the tunnel, which forced security to intervene.
The controversy stemmed from Lee Kang-in’s rash challenge on Federico Valverde in the first half, with the former Paris Saint-Germain striker surprisingly escaping a yellow card.
This sparked outrage from both teams, with referee Miguel Angel Ortiz Arias sending off two members of the coaching staff, one from each team.
These include Pedro Machado, one of Jose Mourinho’s assistants, and Pablo Vercheron, Diego Simeone’s goalkeeping coach.
Regarding the incident, Oblak said: “I don’t know; the referee reviewed both men and made a decision.
“Sent off. If we got sent off against Villarreal, then this one should be as well. If we didn’t get sent off against Villarreal, then this one shouldn’t be as well.”

The Madrid derby burst into life in the second half, with Dean Huijsen getting his marching orders after dragging back Giuliano Simeone inside the penalty area.
This led to Alejandro Grimaldo converting a penalty in the 53rd minute, with Jonathan David doubling the advantage five minutes later.
Rudiger got a glimmer of consolation in the closing stages of the game, but it was too late.
Atletico finished with 18 shots on goal, resulting in an expected goals against (xG) of 2.4, while Mourinho’s side had eight shots on goal, with an expected goals against (xG) of 0.3.
The result sees Atletico move above their Derby rivals to within five points of leaders Barcelona in the La Liga table.
