Chris Wilder has spoken of his disappointment after Sheffield United lost 1-0 to Wolves in the 90th minute.

There were loud boos at the end of the first half, with people jeering at the referee and dissatisfied with Rob Jones’ decision. Howard Webb watched from the stands.

Wolves snatched three late points as Raul Jimenez sparked wild celebrations away from home in the 90th minute.

Wolves are 7th in the standings with 11 points from 6 games, 3 points behind leaders West Ham United with a game in hand, while Sheffield United are 14th with 9 points from 7 games.

Wolves player Cesar Peixoto said sky sports:

“This is an important victory for us. We knew it would be difficult to play against this team in this stadium. Today the team stayed together for 90 minutes. The important thing is that the players on the bench struggled to score in the last minutes. We scored and we won.

“I think we deserved it because we were the better team, but it was a tough game for us.”

On Jimenez: “He is 35 years old, so we have to manage him in the best way. He is our key player. We have three games this week, so we have to manage the options. Raul, as captain, helps the team on the bench, not only scoring goals, but also helping to defend set pieces.”

Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder told Sky Sports:

“When you play against teams like we did today, this is top-level championship football. If you don’t take a break, they will punish you.

“The players maybe didn’t get what they deserved from the game but that’s how Championship games are sometimes so we have to go with the flow and deal with it.

“Especially in the second half, we barely limited a team that was very offensive. I don’t think Michael [Cooper] There’s a saving to be done.

“It’s disappointing that for where we are we haven’t found that bit of quality to get our noses in front.”
