Frank Ilett, who has vowed not to cut his hair before Manchester United win their fifth consecutive game, clashed with Ruben Amorim yesterday and the Milan boss issued a light-hearted apology.
Milan boss Amorim met with Manchester United fan Frank Ilett, who has been growing his hair ahead of United’s fifth successive win, on Thursday.
What Amorim said in random meeting with Manchester United’s hairdresser
The meeting took place at the Portuguese Football Summit and Ilet shared a photo with the Portuguese coach on Instagram.
“It was great to meet Ruben Amorim at the Portuguese Football Summit,” he wrote.
“He saw me, pointed at my hair and said ‘Sorry!’ Still love for him.”
Amorim was in charge of United for 14 months, winning just 25 of 63 games and apparently never achieving five consecutive wins. He was hired by the Red Devils in November 2024 and fired in January 2026.
He signed a three-year contract with Serie A giants Milan last summer, replacing Massimiliano Allegri.
Amorim remained unbeaten in the first five Serie A games this season, recording 3 wins and 2 draws. He lost his only game of the season against Benfica in the Europa League.
