The former Fulham player is set to return to the Premier League with Leeds

Leeds United are now eyeing a January move for the former Premier League star, following a difficult run of form over the past few weeks.

After making a statement by beating Newcastle United 4-1 at Elland Road, the Whites have struggled since mid-September and are now five games without a win in the Premier League.

Perhaps more interestingly, scoring has been a real problem as Daniel Farken’s side have failed to find points against Crystal Palace and Sunderland, two teams currently in the relegation zone.

AFC Bournemouth had no trouble keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win at the Vitality Stadium recently, although Farke had no issues with his side’s performance, saying: “It’s tough for the boys because performance-wise, there’s nothing to complain about. Sometimes you have to accept the loss. The team was a bit more clinical and congratulations to Bournemouth for that.”

Farke, embroiled in a relegation battle throughout the 2025-26 campaign, will be looking to avoid a repeat this season and so far so good, with 11 points taking them four clear of the bottom three.

However, adding more attacking firepower to their ranks during the January transfer window could allow the Whites to move further away from the relegation zone and they have now eyed the former Fulham man.

Leeds are planning a January move for Harvey Elliott

After a failed loan deal with Aston Villa last season, Liverpool sent Harvey Elliott to Valencia on a temporary basis in the summer, but the 23-year-old is yet to start a La Liga game, making 152 minutes in six substitute appearances.

As such, the Spanish side plans to terminate Elliott’s loan in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.

At this stage in his career, the attacking midfielder preferred to sign for a club permanently and he could prove to be a solid signing for Leeds, having shone in the Premier League, scoring five goals and 13 assists in 99 appearances.

Owen Hargreaves also waxed lyrical about the former Fulham midfielder last season: “I think Harvey Elliot can eventually be as good a player as Martin Odegaard. I think technically he’s fantastic, obviously at Liverpool he didn’t have the opportunities because they had a lot of players. But in the center I think he’s a fantastic player.”

However, Elliott, who shares the same agent as Anton Stach, would not be a definite success at Elland Road given his development may have been hampered by very limited playing time over the last two seasons, making just nine appearances for Villa in all competitions last season.
