The USA Men’s National Team’s first competitive window for the 2030 World Cup cycle begins in 10 days, and Mauricio Pochettino has officially announced his roster.
Christian Pulisic, Cavan Sullivan and Weston McKennie headline Pochettino’s 25-man roster for the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final series with Haiti. The Americans will face Haiti on November 14 at Nu Stadium in Miami, Florida before wrapping up the two-legged series on November 17 at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Originally, the first game was scheduled to be played in Kingston, Jamaica due to the events in Haiti. However, CONCACAF has approved the move to Miami for Haiti’s first game as the host team.
“We are delighted to bring this group together at the start of our journey in this important competition,” said Pochettino. “These players have had the opportunity to compete and help us achieve our ultimate goal, which is to win the tournament and advance.”
Pulisic, McKennie and Folarin returned with the USMNT this window after being left out of Balogan’s long September-October window. Both McKennie and Pulisic have gone on to play big roles for their Serie A clubs again this fall, while Balogun recently scored his first goal of the season for French side Monaco.
Captain Tyler Adams and defenders Chris Richards, Antonee Robinson and Sergino Dest will also be among the veteran leaders in the squad.
In-form midfielders Sebastian Berhalter and Gio Reyna were also included after playing key minutes at club level since the end of the October window.
Sullivan, defender Reed Baker-Whiting, goalkeeper Brian Schwake and forward Justin Ellis prepare for the MLS Cup playoffs.
New York Red Bulls duo Julian Hall and Adri Mehmeti and NYCFC goalkeeper Matt Freese also return to international duty despite missing the playoffs in the penultimate match of the MLS season.
Santiago Castaneda and Baker-Whiting are the two new faces for camp this month, with both players looking for their first USMNT caps. Castaneda helped Paderborn win promotion to the Bundesliga last season and is in the midst of his third campaign with the German club.
Baker-Whiting, 21, was on the USMNT U-20 World Cup roster last year and had a stellar season alongside Schwake at Nashville SC, who won the Supporters’ Shield.
In addition, Stade Rennais defender Bryan Reynolds earned his first call-up under Pochettino, despite winning seven games before the Argentinian’s appointment.
The two-legged series will mark the USMNT’s 20th and 21st matches against Haiti, with the Americans posting an 8-6-5 record to date. It will be the first head-to-head meeting between the two countries since the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where the USMNT won 2-1 in the group stage.
