Luciano Spalletti was disappointed with the second half of Juventus’ 2-0 win over Lecce.
Douglas Luiz scored and assisted as Juventus returned to winning ways in Serie A on Sunday.
Juventus created 0.81 expected goal value chances in the first half, but after the break this number dropped to 0.26 xG.
Lecce had 12 shots in the second half, four of which were on target, and Spalletti was upset by the display from his side.
“The players played a very good game in terms of pace and open play,” Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia.
“In the second half, we lost a bit in terms of management and then everything became difficult because we lacked courage. We have to do the same thing as we did in the first half.
“We found this system that brought resilience and we’re happy with it because we immediately saw a better team performance. But in the second half we kind of went backwards.”

Spalletti praised Luiz for his performance.
Luiz was the only player to create more than one chance (two) for Juventus, while also having the most touches (94), accurate passes (64/78) and third last (28) of anyone in the team.
Spalletti said: “He had a great game today, he fought and ran, fought from all sides and helped clear certain situations when we needed him.”
