Here’s a look at some stats and details after Week 25 of the 2026 NWSL season. We will continue to update this space every week to keep you informed. Have an idea or addition? Hit me @thedanlauletta on Bsky or X.
Before we get to that, let’s take a look at how the table stands. It should be noted that Gotham FC, San Diego Wave and Washington Spirit qualified for the playoffs, while Chicago Stars, Racing Louisville, Boston Legacy, Bay FC, Houston Dash and Orlando Pride were eliminated. Gotham and Wave are sure to host the 1/4 finals.

All statistics refer to regular season games except where noted.
PLAYER STATISTICS
–Ashley Sanchez has 20 goals and is tied for the single-season league record first set in 2024 by Temwa Chawinga. Barbra Banda, the closest runner-up in the Golden Boot race with 17, is awaiting clearance to return to the United States due to medical restrictions on travel to Uganda and will miss at least this weekend’s match.
– The assist record also remains in the balance. Cloé Lacasse and Croix Bethune each have 10 assists, tied with Tobin Heath and Bethune from two years ago for the single-season record.
-Sofia Huerta assisted Nérilia Mondesir to extend her all-time record to 36. Her closest follower, Vanessa DiBernardo, also had one assist and 33 career goals. Jess Fishlock’s assist was her 31st and tied for third all-time with Jess McDonald and Lynn Biyendolo.
-Kaleigh Kurtz has now played 142 consecutive regular season games and 12,742 consecutive minutes. Both are league records. The streak began on June 26, 2021, playing for the Courage. (The unrounded figure is due to a rain-shortened match in 2023.)
-No players made their NWSL debut last weekend.
-Status quo in the 10/10 club with two weeks to play: Trinity Rodman and Cloe Lacasse remain closest to reaching the stage. Rodman is at 11G/8A and Lacasse is at 8G/10A. Pietra Tordin is in 8G/9A.
-All nine players who played every minute this season played in the high 90s over the weekend to continue their Ironman seasons. The six outfielders are Kate Del Fava, Jessie Fleming, Kaleigh Kurtz, Tara Rudd, Kennedy Wesley (who was mistakenly named as Kennedy Fuller last week) and Ryan Williams. The other three – Angelina Anderson, Sandy MacIver and Kailen Sheridan – are goalkeepers.
-Amanda Gutierrez didn’t play any full 90s, but that didn’t stop her from scoring her 10th goal of the season for Legacy. He is the only player to reach 10 goals in a season without playing 90 minutes in any game.
TEAM STATISTICS
-Kate Del Fava remains a perfect one-minute hitter for the Royals, playing in all 7,200 over 80 games since the team’s inception in 2024. Those are the longest streaks since the start of any expansion team.
-The Washington Spirit qualified for the playoffs, the 7th in club history and the 3rd in a row. Three consecutive matches, the best for the team, achieved the first 2014-2016.
-Despite the win, the Pride were eliminated from playoff contention. Ended a two-year streak of being a playoff team. The Pride have already missed the playoffs in 7 of 10 seasons.
-The Spirit’s win over Gotham moved the team to 116-116-74. The club has been above .500 just once as a club, following a win over the Reign on September 7, 2016. The Spirit then lost road games to the Reign and Red Stars to lose in the Shield against the Thorns and fell below .500, where they’ve been ever since.
-The Wave’s loss was the 100th in franchise history if you back out the Courage’s stats with the Western New York Flash, who were traded in early 2017 and moved to The Triangle.
-Racing Louisville has yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
