Week six of the college football season is a sneaky, very solid schedule.

There are only two ranked matches this week, but there are plenty of ranked teams that will sound the alarm on Saturday.

Here are my picks for my three favorite games of the day.

#7 Indiana (-7.5) vs. Nebraska Total: 47.5

Indiana looked rough against Northwestern, the only opponent they played with a pulse. However, despite the Wildcats keeping this game close on the box score, I’m not sure the game was actually that close. On the other hand, Nebraska is undefeated and unranked for good reason. They’re just not that good.

However, Anthony Colandrea is a guy who could cause some problems for the Hoosier pass defense. I still think this is Curt Cignetti’s game on the schedule going to Ohio State next week. Josh Hoover continues his phenomenal start this year and Indiana rolls into Lincoln and goes 2-3.

Pick: Indiana -7.5

#21 UCLA vs #13 Oregon (-11.5) Total: 59.5

There is no better measuring stick game than this one. UCLA’s offense came up big in the first four games of the Bob Chesney era, and while Oregon was rocked by a tough schedule, they were able to get back in the driver’s seat with a big win over their former PAC-12 foe.

With Dante Moore out for the foreseeable future, I actually don’t think Oregon’s offense will slow down that much. Former Cornhusker Dylan Raiola looked great last week in relief of Moore, and I expect another solid performance from him this week. That being said, Oregon’s defense is still miles behind their offense, and Wayne Knight can make them all miss like he did with JMU in last year’s playoffs. I’m not sure if Chesney will get his revenge yet, but I think this game is very close.

Pick: UCLA +11.5 and o59.5

#2 Georgia vs. #6 Alabama (-1.5) Total: 51.5

The game of the week, and possibly the season, will put one of these two teams in the driver’s seat for the SEC. Both teams are running away from Texas in the regular season, and whoever tops that will likely find themselves in the SEC Championship.

I think Keelon Russell is incredibly high, and Bama looks like a national title contender for the first time under Kalen DeBoer. Georgia have looked great so far, but they haven’t played anyone so we don’t know what to expect from them. Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo always struggles in big plays, and against an opportunistic defense like Alabama, I think he’ll call the play very conservative. I like Bama closely.

Pick: Alabama -1.5
